Batu Caves

Limestone caves with a Hindu temple, reached by 272 colourful steps beside a giant golden statue, just north of the city.

Batu Caves is in Gombak, Selangor, about 13 km north of the city centre. The main Temple Cave sits at the top of the steps, guarded by the golden statue of Lord Murugan; monkeys are common, so keep food and bags closed.
